La Condamine wraps around Port Hercule, the deep-water harbour that holds Monaco's famous yachts. This is the Principality's most practical district — the market, the marina pontoons, the start line of the Grand Prix — and if your Monaco includes a day on the water, as it should, this is where you'll step aboard.
Yacht days from Port Hercule
Most day charters in Monaco leave from Port Hercule's pontoons, a short walk from anywhere in La Condamine. A day charter starts from €1,200 per boat — not per person — and typically runs €1,200–€5,000+ depending on size and season; our yacht charter prices guide breaks down the real numbers. Mornings are calmest for cruising toward Cap Ferrat or the coves beneath Èze; come back for sunset in front of the Rock.
The market and an honest lunch
The Marché de la Condamine on Place d'Armes has fed the district for generations — covered stalls, local produce and a ring of counters where Monaco actually eats lunch. It's the welcome counterpoint to the yachts fifty metres away: socca, barbagiuan, a glass of rosé at a standing counter. As part of a wider private tour, we can build a morning around the market before the crowds think of lunch.
Grand Prix territory
On race weekend, La Condamine is the circuit: the start-finish straight runs along the harbour, and the yachts in port become floating grandstands. Harbour-view terraces and yacht hospitality are reserved many months in advance — see Grand Prix hospitality and our 2027 guide for dates and honest price bands.
Getting around
Everything in Monaco connects through La Condamine. Public lifts climb to Monte Carlo, the Rampe Major zigzags up to Monaco-Ville, and buses loop the harbour. A chauffeur (€75–120 per hour) earns its keep for dinner runs and airport transfers; within the district itself, walking wins.
