Larvotto is Monaco's answer to the Riviera beach day. The seafront was completely rebuilt in recent years — a wider promenade, new landscaping, easier access to the water — and today it mixes a free public beach with private clubs where a lounger, lunch and a swim become the day's whole plan. The beach clubs
The private clubs along the promenade rent loungers and umbrellas with full food and drink service brought to your spot on the sand — the classic Riviera arrangement. Just east of the district, the Monte-Carlo Beach club adds a pool and a more hotel-style scene. A day at Larvotto, done right
The best rhythm: arrive before eleven, swim while the water is calm, lunch at your club, a second swim, and you're back at your hotel by five — or you roll straight into dinner at the seafront restaurants. June and September give you warm water without the peak crowds; in August, reserve loungers ahead or expect the back rows.
Arrive by sea
The most Larvotto way to arrive is from the water. A half-day yacht charter (day charters run from €1,200 per boat) can anchor off the beach for a swim in open water, the whole Riviera coastline as your backdrop, before you step ashore for lunch. It's the upgrade that turns a beach day into the day people ask you about.
Getting there
Larvotto is a fifteen-minute walk from Casino Square via the public lifts, or minutes by car. A chauffeur at €75–120 per hour handles beach-day logistics — child seats, cool boxes, evening returns — without the parking hunt, and pairs naturally with dinner in Monte Carlo afterwards.
